Pharmacy Fraternity Expo

On Monday, September 16th, 2013, the first ever Pharmacy Fraternity Expo was held in 378 The Fenway Building. Northeastern's three pharmacy fraternities, Lambda Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Chi, and Kappa Psi were all present. The evening consisted of pizza and soda, and some amazing presentations and booth from all three organizations. Almost the entire room was filled with Pharmacy Majors interested in learning more about professional Greek life.
The purpose of the gathering was to introduce all three fraternities at once to eliminate any confusion with rush events that would begin later that week. Many girls asked questions at the LKS table and ended up going to the Speed Dating event the next day. Overall, the expo was a huge success and will likely be the standard procedure for years to come.

Sister Bonding!

On September 14 LKS did their first philanthropy event of the year. Twelve of us went to Community Servings in Roxbury to help package balanced nutritious meals that CS then delivers to families. It was also ethnic food day; regular volunteers and the "Great Chef" all made different ethnic foods for lunch! Community Servings was a lot of fun and the people who work there definitely have great spirits and desire to help those in need.
Upon returning to campus, the sisters of LKS stumbled across the RSA Acitivies Fair in Centennial! Needless to say, the bouncy house was the main attraction. It was a well deserved hour of play and sister bonding.

First Fundraiser

"We haven't even had our first meeting yet and we already have two events down!" exclaimed a very excited Julia Galea. Thanks to a very clever idea learned from convention this year, LKS is in the process of their first fundraiser of the year selling safety glasses for laboratory. Their sleek minimalist design along with 6 stylish colors made them a very hot item. On the first day, we made $140. Today, as of 44 minutes sitting in Curry Student Center in front of UBurger, we have made $30!
We are working hard! Thank you to everyone to helped out with this event!

Activities Fair 2013

It has been a long four months! Hitting the ground running, LKS hosted a beautifully located table at the Activities Fair at Centennial Circle right after the second day of classes. It was great seeing all the sisters again and chatting with the brand new Pharmacy Class. A total of 34 girls signed up to be on our mailing list, thanks to everyone who came to help promote our fraternity today. We definitely attracted a lot of attention with our blue and gold poster and lambs.

Alpha Rho is off to an amazing start! There is so much to look forward to as orientation kicks in again. Can't wait to greet the new Delta class!
