Bouvé Health Fair

The annual Bouvé Health Fair was held on Wednesday October 2nd, 2013. Students lined up outside the Curry ballroom to get their free flu shots and water bottles as well as donate blood. This year, LKS created a board about Breast Cancer Awareness. We voted on this topic because we felt the issue resonated with our fraternity's goals on empowering women. Cye, our professional chair explained the importance of getting regular mammograms after the age of 40 to check for breast cancer symptoms.
Individuals with a known genetic history of disease are at greater risk of having it. Other factors such as alcohol and contraceptives also have shown correlation with breast cancer. The new girls will be presenting pamphlets at Dimmock Center for Founder's day as well!  Good Luck!
